Having always enjoyed the opportunity to help people, I’ve been fortunate enough to spend the last 18+ years working in the health care industry. After many years in California, I was able to head back to the east coast.
I believe relationships are the essential assets of any highly successful team. They are the building blocks that structure stability. I truly look forward to the kind-hearted, caring, team of professionals I’m privileged to work with on a daily basis. I’d also like to say how thankful I am for the amazing patients I continue to meet. It’s one of my favorite parts about being involved in this field.
When outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my two amazing children, friends and family.
Head Dental Assistant
I have been with SBOMS for over four years and I am certified in Basic Life Support. I have been a Surgical Assistant since 2003. I am responsible for all of the ordering and managing the surgical assistants. I will make sure your experience here is enjoyable and comfortable. I will answer your questions while you’re in the office or on the phone. I enjoy meeting new patients and building relationships.
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I have three beautiful children and wonderful grandkids.
I have been with SBOMS for 7 years. I started with the office when there were only four employees and have witnessed its rapid growth over the years. I attribute the success of South Bedford to the amazing Doctors, Staff and Patients.
I have been married to my amazing husband Mark for 30 years and have three children, Matthew, Carly and Jamie. When I’m not working, I enjoy Yoga and traveling. I love traveling so much that even the two hours a day I commute from NJ to Westchester is enjoyable! Working at South Bedford Oral Surgery has been a positive experience; the doctors are a pleasure to work for.
I work with our patients to make sure they’re experience here at South Bedford Oral Surgery is Excellence. I understand that our patients are the most important part of our practice and I believe in the importance of receiving feedback from of our patients to better serve them and grow as a team. I have been in the dental field for over 11 years and have worked with all dental specialists and have had leading roles as a Dental Assistant, Administrative and Coordinating background. I have received the most vital experience on the Dental field. Nevertheless, I have completed BOCES Dental Assistant Program, Certified Dental X-ray Technician, Continuing Education for Leadership, Marketing, Administrative and Coordinating Courses.
I enjoy spending time with my Grandmother and Mother on my days off. My favorite activities outside of work are church, bible study and attending Seminars to better myself individually and work related.
Front Desk Coordinator
Welcome to our practice! I am the friendly face that greets our patients at the front desk. I have been in the dental industry for over 11 years. I am happy to plan your appointments, answer any questions and ensure you have a positive experience with our office. It is important to me that each patient enjoys a feeling of ease and comfort in our office.
When I’m not working, I enjoy being with my family which includes my daughters Kelly and Katie and grandson Mason. I look forward to visiting my oldest daughter and grandson in Nevada when ever time allows.
You will see me in the back office. I assist the doctors clinically. I always knew I wanted to work in the dental field. Our team is full of diverse and enjoyable personalities. Everyone works as hard as they can to create an organized, enjoyable and welcoming workplace.
When I’m not at work I love spending time with my three children.
I am the newest employee of the SBOMS team. Before coming to SBOMS, I started in the dental field at the age of 16 working for a general dentist. I left general dentistry and worked for 10 years as the head assistant for an oral surgery office. Most recently, I was the office manager for two years at an oral surgery office.
With all my positions I’ve held in the dental field, I find that being an assistant is where I am most comfortable. The doctors and staff at SBOMS are extremely pleasant to work with and I am happy to have found my new home here.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am married to my husband for 20 years and have two children who I treasure. I enjoy dancing, playing competitive sports and spending time with my extended family. My family and I are big Giant, Jet and Yankee fans.
I just began my journey here with South Bedford Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I have over three years of customer service relations experience and administrative support. I currently attend the American Academy of McAllister Institute of Funeral Service and my character manifests itself while working behind the scenes part of the office staff she is enthusiastic, eager, quiet at times and loves a good laugh!
I enjoy yoga, hiking and the company of my family when I’m not at work or preparing for school assignments.
I have been with SBOMS for 6 years, but have worked in Oral Surgery for 35 years as a dental assistant. I enjoy working with such a great team of doctors and staff. I was born in Colombia and I speak fluent Spanish. Being that I am bilingual, I have built up a nice rapport with our Spanish speaking patients. I am happy to help them whether it is on the phone, filling out forms or explaining the procedures in detail when needed.
When I am not at work, I enjoy going to the gym and spending time with my three children and my grandson.
Jessica Jones Patterson
I have 7 years of experience in the dental field. I feel that I am an effective and productive team player. I am enthusiastic, motivated, and detail oriented. My daily goal is Always to maintain the patients comfort. I enjoy what I do because I am passionate about helping people.
Personally I find that one of the most rewarding aspects of the medical field is to have the capacity to recognize, understand or empathize with an individual’s state of mind or emotion.
Outside of work I love to spend time with my family and learn different hair and makeup techniques and trying new hair and makeup products.
I have been a dental assistant for 37 years. I have worked in general dentistry, periodontal and oral surgery. I was drawn to the dental field as a young child because of an unfortunate circumstance. I know firsthand that dental anxiety is real. I try to comfort patients that are anxious in the dental chair.
I have been married to my husband John for 28 years and we have two children, Samantha and Matthew. I enjoy traveling, cooking and spending time with my family.
